MovieDescription: ALEX AND EMMA Cast: Luke Wilson, Kate Hudson, Sophie Marceau. Directed by Rob Reiner. In this comedy, a young novelist with a gambling habit finds himself under a 30-day deadline to finish his next manuscript, receive his advance, and pay off his bookie. The only way he can hope to finish on time is to hire a stenographer, whose advice about the storyline of his novel proves to be a pleasant distraction. The MPAA has rated this movie PG-13 for sexual content and some language. Some mild language punctuates comedic scenes in which loan sharks visit the main characters apartment, destroy his computer and hold him upside down out a window threatening his life. Two scenes include dialogue with sexual innuendo. The main character is shown urinating in the bathroom with his back to the audience. One scene includes a sexual encounter between the main characters. It is comedic in nature and there is no nudity. The main characters gambling habit, subsequent loss of money and his life-threatening situation are treated as humorous.
