MovieDescription: 28 DAYS LATER Cast: Cillian Murphy, Naomie Harris, Megan Burns, Brendan Gleeson, Christopher Eccleston. Directed by Danny Boyle. Animal rights radicals release apes infected with a contagious virus that immediately causes people to become homicidal zombies. A small group of survivors tries to reach safety. The MPAA rates the film R for strong violence, gore, language, and nudity. People, both zombies and non-infected survivors, are literally torn apart on the screen. Explosions, guns, knives, and blunt objects are used against the zombies and a few survivors. Once infected by diseased blood, the victims begin experiencing seizures, followed by explosive, projectile vomiting of blood. A man infected with the virus is shot to death in front of his teenage daughter. Decomposing bodies are shown throughout the film including that of a baby. A young boy who has become a zombie is beaten to death. Blood splashes and sprays in many scenes. Strong and profane language is used throughout the film. A man is shown in full frontal nudity as well as from behind. A female zombie is shown nude from the waist up. A group of soldiers plans the sexual enslavement of two female survivors. Drugs are used as sleeping aids and in a recreational context. Alcohol is consumed.
