MovieDescription: 10,000 BC Cast: Steven Strait, Camille Belle, Marco Khanlian, Omar Sharif. Directed by Roland Emmerich. In this action film, a prehistoric tribe of mammoth hunters struggles to survive when the mammoth herds infrequently come their way. A celebration of a successful hunt is interrupted by warriors seeking prisoners. A small band sets out to rescue the captives, embarking on an adventure that takes them far from their known world. The MPAA rates the film PG-13 for sequences of intense action and violence. Hunters armed only with stone-pointed spears attack and try to kill a mammoth. The hunt endangers many. Gigantic prehistoric animals attack people, and vice versa. Little blood is shown. People attack each other with edged and blunt weapons. Swords, knives and spears puncture and slash. Blood is shown on wounds and on weapons. Punching and kicking occurs in several scenes. A man is thrown to his death as a sacrifice for a man posing as a god. Idol worship and mysticism are elements of the film.
