MovieDescription: 21 Cast: Kevin Spacey, Laurence Fishburne, Jim Sturges, Kate Bozworth. Directed by Robert Luketic. In this drama, a college math genius is drawn into a gambling ring by an esteemed professor. Beating the casinos at Blackjack, or 21, by counting cards in an elaborate scheme involving other college students, is easy at first. The plan gets muddied and dangerous as the games goes on. The MPAA rates the film PG-13 for violence and sexual content. Men are tied to a chair and ruthlessly beaten. The person administering the beating takes sadistic pleasure in his work. Handguns are brandished, used to threaten and fired, though no one is hurt. Couples are shown embracing and kissing while removing each others clothing. Several scenes occur in a strip bar. Women perform various exotic dances while wearing minimal covering. Two women kiss. Language in the film is mild to moderate with many instances of profanity. Alcohol is consumed in many scenes, including to the point of drunkenness.
