MovieTitle: AMERICAN CAROL

MovieRating: PG-13

MovieType: Video Store

MovieDescription: AMERICAN CAROL Cast: Kelsey Grammer, Jon Voight, Trace Adkins, James Woods. Directed by David Zucker. In this spoof on Hollywood agenda movies, a cynical wanna-be filmmaker sets out on a crusade to abolish the Fourth of July holiday, but along the way he is visited by three spirits who attempt to show him the true meaning of American patriotism. The MPAA has rated this film PG-13 for rude and irreverent content, and for language and brief drug material. Strong language including name-calling and demeaning insults are used throughout this film. The main character is portrayed as naïve and uninformed, driven by psychological issues from his adolescence. Some scenes contain the same types of slapstick comic irreverence that are the directors trademark. In one scene, on the deck of an aircraft carrier, children and adults with chronic illnesses, some hooked to intravenous medical equipment and monitors, become the victims of an accident that sets off a chain reaction, sending them all overboard. Battle sequences show zombie-like creatures attacking Washingtonb D.C. and the spirit of General George Patton leads the charge, with guns blazing, to save the nation.
