MovieDescription: 12 ROUNDS Cast: John Cena, Steve Harris, Aidan Gillen, Brian J. White, Gonzalo Menendez. Directed by Renny Harlin. In this action film, a New Orleans Police Detective, Danny Fisher, stops a brilliant thief during a multimillion-dollar jewel heist in a tense and violent capture in which the thiefs girlfriend is accidentally killed. One year later, the thief escapes, kidnaps Fishers fiancee, and forces Fisher to complete a series of clues to perform, 12 nearly impossible tasks to save her life. The MPAA has rated this film PG-13 for violence and action. Law enforcement officers use strong language and one instance of profanity during moments of intense stress. One character makes brief references to womanizing and an implied reference to having multiple sex partners. Police dispatchers are portrayed as slow and ineffective. Several people die, including the main characters police partner. The main character emerges from all of these situations with minor cuts and bruises. A female hostage has her wrists bound behind her back and tape put over her mouth. During one of the 12 rounds she is wired with explosives and placed on a city bus with passengers.
