MovieDescription: 3000 MILES TO GRACELAND Cast: Kevin Costner, Kurt Russell, Courteney Cox Arquette, David Arquette, Thomas Haden Church, Ice-T, Howie Long, Jon Lovitz, Kevin Pollak, Christian Slater. Directed by Demian Lichtenstein. A group of ex-convicts plan to rob a casino during Elvis week. Within hours of the robbery, greed and volatile personalities take their toll. The MPAA rates this film "R" for strong violence, sexuality, and language. The opening credits show digital images of scorpions in a violent fight to the death. Strong and vulgar language including profanity are pervasive throughout the movie. Sexuality is also pervasive. A man and woman engage in sexual activity while her son sneaks into the bedroom to steal the man's wallet. One scene indicates that oral sex has just taken place in a moving car. Extreme violence and blood occur in some form in most scenes. Several long exchanges of gunfire between robbers and law enforcement authorities result in death. Weapons include shotguns, assault rifles, handguns, hand-to-hand, a bow and arrows, and explosions. Off-camera, an old man is beaten. Some of the characters display a desensitized attitude about killing. There are many dead bodies shown on-screen. A man drinks whiskey from a bottle while he drives. A boy smokes a cigarette and then vomits. A young boy is witness to most of these events and participates in many of them.
