MovieTitle: NINE
MovieRating: PG-13
MovieType: New Release
MovieDescription: NINE Cast: Daniel Day-Lewis, Judi Dench, Marion Cotillard, Penelope Cruz, Sophia Loren, Nicole Kidman, Kate Hudson, Fergie. Directed by Rob Marshall. In this adaptation of the classic Fellini film and later Broadway musical, an Italian director is hoping for a comeback with his latest film, but the project is lacking in key areas. Crises in his personal and professional life abound and force him to take a hard look at the life he has been living. The MPAA has rated this film PG-13 for sexual content and smoking. The film contains numerous scenes and dialogue of a sensual nature. Mature thematic material including infidelity, casual sex and prostitution are addressed. Couples are filmed before and after bedroom liaisons, implying relationships and affairs, both real and fantasy. Women are shown in their lingerie and wearing only bed sheets. In two different scenes a woman is filmed from behind as she reveals her bare breasts to a man, but no nudity is seen onscreen. Showgirls and dancers wear extremely skimpy costumes and thongs. Women engage in striptease dancing numbers. The language in the film includes some mild profanity and at least one word of derogatory sexual slang. Characters smoke cigarettes frequently throughout the film and adults drink alcoholic beverages in bars, restaurants and social settings, though not to excess. One character attempts suicide by taking too many prescription pills, but is not successful. There is no other drug use in the film.
