MovieDescription: WHITEOUT Cast: Kate Beckinsale, Gabriel Macht, Tom Skerritt. Directed by Dominic Sena. In this action film, a U.S. Marshal is sent to investigate Antarcticas first homicide, a body thrown from a plane. The murder investigation soon expands to include two additional bodies as winter closes in around them in the form of a deadly whiteout. The MPAA has rated this film R for violence, grisly images, language and nudity. Strong language including profanity occurs in perilous situations. Viewers see a number of horrifying images including frozen dead bodies, one of which is mangled from having been dropped on the icy tundra from an airplane. An investigation of the victims home base reveals another dead body, freshly garroted with copious amounts of blood. The Marshal is meant to be the third victim as a dark figure pursues her through the base office with an ice pick and ball peen hammer, then outdoors through blinding whiteout conditions and temperatures not meant to sustain human life. The Marshal and another government investigator are trapped below the ice where they discover 60-year-old plane wreckage that contains the secret some people believe is still worth killing for. The main character is gratuitously displayed undressing down to undergarments and preparing for a shower, where she is shown naked behind steamy glass shower doors in an extended scene.
