In the mid-1960s rock and roll was limited to one hour of radio play on the BBC in Great Britain, but a revolution was going on offshore. Aboard a boat in the North Atlantic was a makeshift radio station that played rock and roll music 24/7 in strict defiance of the British Government. The MPAA has rated this film R for language, sexual content and brief nudity. The language in the film contains prolific moderate to strong profanity, sexual body part terminology, and profane hand gestures. Individuals engage in casual and multiple partner sexual activities off screen. One character loses his virginity and it is broadcast on the radio. Two men plot to trade places and trick a girl into unknowingly having sex with one of them. Brief shots of naked males backsides and a womans breasts are included. A woman marries one man with secret plans of getting on the boat to continue a sexual liaison with another man. References to homosexuality and lesbian characters are included. Characters are depicted smoking marijuana and tobacco cigarettes and drinking alcohol excessively.
