MovieDescription: THE CRAZIES Cast: Timothy Olyphant, Radha Mitchell, Danielle Panabaker, Joe Anderson. Directed by Breck Eisner. In this thriller, a government plane crash contaminates a towns water supply. The residents become homicidal and zombie-like. Four survivors try and hold off the killers and the government forces sent to "contain" the outbreak. The MPAA rates the film "R" for violence and language. Handguns, rifles, and machineguns are used to shoot, injure and kill. Bloody wounds are shown. Unarmed civilians are gunned down by government troops. Those exposed to the contaminant become catatonic before turning to fits of violent rage. Some victims are tortured before being brutally killed. Bodies are mutilated with edged weapons. A man with a pitchfork impales helpless restrained victims. A man's hand is pinned to the floor with a kitchen knife. A man burns down his house with his wife and son inside. Bodies are burned to prevent the spread of the contamination. Some of the contaminated talk of their victims as though talking about game animals. Explosions also take lives. As the contaminated persist, they begin oozing blood from their bodies and show a variety of injuries to their skin. Men, women and children are slaughtered to prevent the spread of the disease. Alcohol is consumed. Strong language and profanity are heard. There is no drug use.
